POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State women's basketball opens the 2022-23 regular season Monday evening in Reed Gym as the Bengals take on the Westminster Griffins in the first official game of the season.

·       The Griffins are led by second-year head coach Lenteal Jackson. Last season the Griffins went 17-9.
·       In the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference poll, the Griffins were selected to finish sixth.
·       The Bengals and Griffins have met only one time before, a 2017 meeting where ISU won 83-45.
·       The Griffins have seven transfers on the roster this season, including three DI transfers.
·       #24 Ashley Greenwood is the Griffins returning leading scorer. Last season she averaged 17.1 ppg, 46 percent from the field, 39 percent from three and 84 percent from the free throw line.
Looking Ahead
After the game in Reed on Monday, the Bengals start a long road trip that will take them to USC, UCSB and Washington before finally coming back home on Nov. 22 to  face Montana Tech.
