POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's tennis team swept Linfield University in a doubleheader on Saturday, 7-0 in both matches that were played in Reed Gym. The two wins improved the Bengals record to 5-4 with Weber State coming to Reed Gym on Friday at 2 p.m.

Alexander Free to give different guys experience.
In the first match the Bengals won two of the three doubles matches by a score of 6-0. In singles play the first set of all the matches was 6-0.
Andreas Kramer,
Wikus Robbertse and
Ethan Lye both beat their opponents 6-0, 6-0.
In the second match,
Hiroki Fujita and
Ege Cankus won 7-5 at No. 1 doubles. Lye and Robbertse won 6-0 at No. 3 doubles while
Patrick Kristensen and
Andreas Kramer won 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
In singles play, Kramer won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles. Kristensen won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 while Fujita won 6-1, 6-0. Robbertse won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles, Cankus 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 and Lye won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6.
"This was a weekend with a lot of tennis," Free said. "We had a great win vs Nevada yesterday and asked the guys to come back today with good focus and intensity and we did that job very well. Hats off to Linfield. They did a great job competing their tails off and fighting for every point, they are a well-coached young team that has a bright future."
Idaho State opens conference play February 18 vs. Weber State at 2 p.m. in Reed Gym. Â
