POCATELLO, Idaho- The Idaho State men's basketball team lost 80-75 to Sacramento State on Saturday night in Reed Gym.
Sacramento State shot 57.7 percent for the game while ISU shot 47.4 percent.
Liam Sorensen led the Bengals with a career-high 24 points on 10-18 shooting.
Malik Porter had 17 points and
AJ Burgin finished with a career-high 16 points.
Idaho State out rebounded the Hornets 33-24 as Sorensen had a team-best six.
The Bengals led 54-46 with 13:02 left in the game. The Hornets then went on a 9-0 run to take a 55-54 lead with 9:44 to play. The game was tied at three different times before the Hornets pulled away for the win. With the score tied at 62, the Hornets built a 72-65 lead with 1:28 to play. ISU got no closer than four points the rest of the way.
Idaho State returns to the court on Monday, Feb. 21., for a 6 p.m. contest at Northern Colorado.
