Coach Carter's Thoughts
On team performance vs PVAM – "Nerves came through early. Scoring was hard to come by. We are still figuring each other out with connections between setters and attackers. Serving and Passing was the difference so it was awesome to see what we have been working on win us a match. 16 aces to 5 errors from the service line may be the best stat line I've seen as a college coach."
On Rachel and Dani's Performance- "They both were hitting the spots Chelsea was calling with pace and kept the ball really flat and that gave PVAM issues."
On the Match with Lamar- "Lamar match was the best we have played as a team by far. Lamar had a few really physical attackers. It was great to see us keep our attack errors down and again we were really good from the service line. Setters also did a much better job connecting with attackers. Jamie really have us a lift that we didn't have in our first match. Sadie was very good again. Dani and Emrie are still working out little things with setters.
The energy was great in the gym so it was awesome to see this group handle the up and downs of an emotional match and not quit! Moments like that will give this group confidence that we can win close matches. We just need to keep it close then watch for our ROAR at the end!"
