POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State cross country heads to Orem, Utah, Thursday, September 1, for its season at the Utah Valley invite.
This weekend's race is treated as a dress rehearsal for the team heading into the heart of its season, according to Head Coach Nate Houle.
"We won't be racing some of our top people as the focus for the season is on October and November," said Houle. "We are approaching this race as a workout and to test some things out as a team."
Idaho State returns four men's runners from the 2021 squad in Eric Christen, Sam Jones, Dylan Mannion, and Brandon Walker. New to the squad are Daniel Roswell, Gavin Pollock, Sunny Gunn, Jacob Detemple, and Seth Babbel.
Idaho State also returns nine women's runners from the 2021 squad in Keely Wolf, Mary Kate Marshall, Presley Timmons, Mya Mitton, Madi Kenyon, Laura Maccabee, Cassandra Vasquez, Megan Treasure, and Sulette Ferreyra. New to the women's squad are Kamber Smith, McKinley Scott, and Zoe Christensen.
Racing for the men's team this week isSam Jones, Sunny Gunn, Daniel Roswell, Eric Christen, Gavin Pollock, Brandon Walker, and Dylan Mannion.
