POCATELLO, Idaho- After two weeks on the road, the Idaho State football team is set to play its home opener on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 1 p.m. vs. Central Arkansas.
Jerry Miller and Mitch Beckstead will call the game live on KISU with the pregame show starting at 12:30 p.m. Dylan Carder and Kody Graves will call the game on ESPN +. This is the first meeting between the two schools. All fans are encouraged to wear black to the game.
Scouting Central Arkansas
Central Arkansas enters Saturday's game 0-2 after losing 27-14 at home to Missouri State and 59-3 at Ole Miss. UCA averages 287 yards of total offense while opponents have averaged 433 yards. UCA averages 135 yards on the ground and 152 through the air. Darius Hale is the top rusher with 145 yards on 33 carries. Jarrod Barnes leads the receivers with 10 receptions for 132 yards. Tamauri Wilson leads the defense with 15 tackles.

Did You Know
This is only the third home opener against a Division 1 opponent since the 2008 season. In 2008 and 2021 the Bengals lost to North Dakota, 38-35 and 35-14. Idaho State's last win over a nonconference FCS school was at home vs. SUU on Sept. 1, 2005. The final score was 38-13. This is only the fifth nonconference FCS game for the Bengals since the SUU game.
