Dason Brooks, Running Back
Running back Dason Brooks earned Preseason All-America recognition after leading Idaho State with 1,007 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns in 2025, averaging 6.4 yards per carry. Brooks posted six 100-yard rushing performances on the season, tied for third-most in the Big Sky, including a season-high 219 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries at UC Davis on Nov. 1. He led the Bengals in scoring with 60 points and returns in 2026 with 1,513 combined rushing yards and 14 touchdowns across his two seasons at RB in Pocatello.
Chedon James, Wide Receiver
Senior wide receiver Chedon James earned Preseason All-America recognition ahead of his return to Idaho State in 2026. James comes back to Pocatello after stops at Fresno State and Incarnate Word, bringing one of the most accomplished résumés on the roster. In 2023, James caught 102 passes for 1,045 yards and eight touchdowns, a season that ranks seventh all-time in Idaho State single-season receiving history and made him one of only eight Bengals to ever surpass the 1,000-yard mark. That season, James led the FCS in receptions, earned First Team All-Big Sky honors, was named an All-American and was tabbed a Walter Payton Award finalist.
Stryker Rashid, Offensive Line
Offensive lineman Stryker Rashid earned Preseason All-America recognition after anchoring an Idaho State offensive line that ranked among the best pass-protecting units in the country in 2025. The Bengals allowed just three sacks on 489 pass attempts, a 0.6 percent sack rate that led the nation and was roughly half the rate posted by any national sack-allowed leader dating back more than a decade. A redshirt senior, Rashid returns to lead a veteran offensive line.

Get ready for our historic 7 home game schedule. The season kicks off on Saturday, Aug. 29 with Virginia Military Institute with kickoff at 4:00 PM. You also can join the Bengals on the road at Utah State or Southern Utah. The Bengal Ticket Office is in the ICCU Dome on the northside, office hours are Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm.
