POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State softball has announced its fall 2023 signing class. The class includes eight new Bengals joining the program, with recruits coming from Idaho and the mountain west area.

"This class addresses a lot of needs for our program. We have three pitchers that will help us continue to build an extremely strong and talented pitching rotation. For us to be successful at the levels that we expect, we have to start strong in the circle and I believe that we are well on our way to being great in that area. From a position player standpoint, we always want to continue to bring in high level student athletes and great people and this class is full of that. We have power, speed and individuals that can play multiple positions on the field at a very high level. I can't wait for these guys to get to Pocatello next fall and get them integrated in our program!"

Megan Meracle - RHP - Borah High - Boise, ID
- 2022 and 2023 1st Team All-State
- All-Southern Idaho Conference 1st Team
- 653 strikeouts in her three seasons at Borah High to this point
- Alliance Northwest Fastpitch League September Player of the Month
Pitching Coach Kelsey Brodus: "Megan is a dominant pitcher -- not just in Idaho, but against the best in the country. She is a special pitcher who is gritty and throws hard. She will do great things!"
Kaliann Scoresby - RHP - Thunder Ridge High - Idaho Falls, ID
- 2023 Post Register Player of the Year
- 2023 1st Team All-State
- Led Thunder Ridge to highest finish at the state tournament in school history in 2023 (3rd place)
- Three-time 1st Team All-Conference
Pitching Coach Kelsey Broadus: "Kali is crafty and can spin the ball like no other. She is extremely hardworking and is a dog in the circle! I'm excited to see what she will do for this program."
Josslin Law - RHP/OF - Shadow Ridge High - Las Vegas, NV
- Two-time 1st Team All-Southern Nevada
- 2023 Mountain Division Pitcher of the Year
- Posted a 1.10 ERA with 153 strikeouts in her junior year, while also hitting .390 with four home runs
Pitching Coach Kelsey Broadus: "Josslin is a true competitor and an all-around athlete. She's a two-way player that will impact the lineup tremendously, not just as a pitcher. She is talented, but also puts her nose to the grindstone and competes!"
Brooke Peterson - UTL - Sheldon High - Eugene, OR
- 2023 1st Team All-State
- Scored game-winning run to help team win 2023 6A Oregon State Championship
- 2022 1st Team All-League and led team in batting average, stolen bases and fielding percentage
- 2021 2nd Team All-State

She is a true threat at the plate, and has the ability to play anywhere on the field. She will accomplish a lot of great things here at Idaho State and will take our program to another level."

- Team Offensive MVP w/ a .610 batting average
- Top-ranked 100 meter and 200 meter sprinter in the TVL
- Hilmar High record holder in the 100M and 4x400 Relay Team
