Bourne, Bello, Earn All-Conference Honors

POCATELLO, Idaho – Callie Bourne and Laura Bello have been awarded All-Conference honors announced by Big Sky Officials this morning.

Bourne was named 2nd–team all-conference and Bello earned honorable mention.

Bourne has had a season for the ages. This season, leading the Bengals, she has averaged 15.7 points per game shooting .402 from the floor.

Against Montana Tech, Callie Bourne scored her 1,000th career point. Bourne is the 22nd player in ISU history to pass the four-figure mark.

At the end of the year. Bourne is now 1st all-time in career assists, 3rd all-time in rebounds, and 7th all-time in points scored.

On 2/18 vs Sacramento State, Bourne scored a career-high 29 points. Bourne also finishes the season with five double-doubles.

 

Laura Bello had a stand-out first season for the Bengals. The Bengal sophomore transfer student had nine double-double performances this season in the Orange and Black.

Bello scored 308 points this season, averaging 10.6 per game. She also led the conference in rebounding averaging 9.4 per game, just off a season double-double average.

Against San Diego on 11/25 Bello scored a season-high 20 points and against the PSU Vikings Bello grabbed 15 boards.

 

The Bengals are back in action this Saturday as they take on the PSU Vikings in the first round of the 2023 Big Sky Championship Basketball Tournament in Boise, Idaho.
