POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State Bengals 3-4 (1-2) fell to the Portland State Vikings 1-5 (1-2) 42-38 in a shootout in the dome Saturday afternoon. The two teams combined for over 1000 yards of offense in a back and forth battle on the turf.

Post game, Head Coach Cody Hawkins spoke on the loss.
Despite 275 yards from Koby Tracy and almost three hundred yards from Christian Frederiksen, Jeff Weimer and Dason Brooks, the Vikings made a final 4th down stop to seal the game in PSU's favor.
The Bengals had over 200 yards rushing for the 2nd time this years, picking up 217 on the ground with 5 rushing touchdowns. Dason Brooks led the way with 90 yards on 16 carries with a touchdown.
Bengal Bites
· Fredericksen led the way in the receiver corps with 101 yards on 9 receptions, Jeff Weimer followed with 98 yards on 8.
· Dason Brooks led the ball carriers in the Bengal Orange Saturday evening. Brooks was just shy of a century with 90 yards on 16 carries.
· David Rowe had 8 tackles, Mason young was next up with seven tackles, one tackle for loss and one pass breakup.
· The Bengal O-Line did not give up a sack during the game, extending their streak to only one sack allowed in now the past 4 games.
· The Bengals only scored seven points in the 2nd half, one of the lowest scoring halves for the Bengals this season.
