POCATELLO, Idaho - The future of Idaho State softball is here as Head Coach Andrew Rich announced seven Bengal recruits for the 2025-26 season.Â

The recruits are joining the Bengals from across the western half of the United States and will bring added depth to the Bengals' roster.

"This class addresses a lot of needs from a position player standpoint. We have two catchers, two infielders and three outfielders in this class and they all bring strong traits to our program and different ways that they can impact the game. The most important thing is that they are all outstanding students and come from great backgrounds so we are excited to welcome them to Pocatello and get them integrated into our community here."

McKenna Schab | 5' 6" | Catcher | Meridian, Idaho
Schab attends Owyhee High School and has played a large role in the success of the softball program, both offensively and defensively. She has a .431 career batting average with 118 hits, 34 homeruns, and 125 RBIs. She has been named Honorable Mention to the All- Southern Idaho Conference Softball Team in 2022, 2023, and 2024. She also was a part of the 5A Idaho State Championship Team in 2023. Schab plays travel ball for CrossFire- Dwyer 18u.

"It is always good to keep great talent from the state of Idaho within the state. We have been watching McKenna for a few years now and she just kept getting better and better every time we saw her. She will help us behind the plate and also add another powerful bat to the roster."

Mya Bartlett | 5'7" | Infield | Las Vegas, Nevada
Bartlett attends Palo Verde High School and has proved to be pivotal in the success of the program. She has a .457 career batting average with 112 hits, 10 homeruns, and 76 RBIs. She hit a whopping .554 in her junior season. She was named to the Second Team All-Southern Nevada softball team in 2023 and First Team All-Southern Nevada softball team in 2024. In 2024, she was also named Nevada Preps Girl Athlete of the Week (3-13-24). Bartlett plays travel ball for Lil' Rebels Gordie/TC and has a decorated travel ball career. In 2019, she was named a USA Softball ALl-American. She is also a 3-time MLB Pitch, Hit, & Run National Finalist. In 2021, she was ranked in the Top 100 for the Class of 2025 (tied for 55th). In 2022, she was named to the Second Team All-Tournament in the Colorado Sparkler and Honorable Mention of the Extra Innings All Summer Team.Â

"Mya is an incredibly athletic infielder. She can play all over the field and that versatility is something that we really look forward to seeing once she is here in Pocatello. Offensively, Mya can use her speed and power to impact the game in a lot of different ways."

Adison Huiskens | 5' 5" | Outfield | Woodland, California
Huiskens attends Woodland Christian High School and has demonstrated her value on the field. She owns a .549 career batting average with 50 hits, 5 homeruns, and 39 RBIs. She hit .542 as a junior. In 2024, Huiskens was named to the All-Central Valley California softball team. She plays travel ball for Lady Magic - Walling.Â

"Adison will come to Pocatello and play the outfield and brings a strong approach from the left side of the plate. We wanted to add a couple of lefty hitters in this class and her work ethic and determination help make her the player that she is."

Chloe McGreevey | 5' 3" | Outfield | Yorba Linda, California
Chloe attends Orange Lutheran High School and has proved to be a contributing member of the softball team. She has a .268 career batting average and in her sophomore year hit .417. In 2023, Chloe was named Honorable Mention of the Trinity League Softball Team. She spent her freshman year of high school at Yorba Linda High School in 2022 where she was named First Team All-League. Chloe plays travel ball for Athletics Mercado.Â

"Chloe plays at a very high level for her high school and for her club ball teams. She has faced off against some of the best out there. She caught our eye this past summer with her box presence and ability to drive the ball to all fields. Another one that has a great work ethic and we are excited to have here in Idaho."

Hayden Hummel | 5' 6" | Outfield | San Jose, California
Hummel attends Saint Francis High School and has greatly impacted the softball program over the course of her career. She owns a .431 career batting average with 47 hits, 9 homeruns, and 39 RBIs. She hit 9 homeruns as a junior. In 2024, Hayden was named to the First Team All-West Catholic Athletic League Team. Hayden was also a part of the Open Division Championship Team in 2024. She plays travel ball for Cal Nuggets - Woods.Â

"Hayden is a very athletic and talented outfielder. We believe there is still so much room for growth for her and the sky is the limit. She had an amazing high school season last year and the power numbers are only going to continue to grow for her."

Lexi Hinahara | 5' 4" | Catcher | 'Aiea, Hawaii
Lexi attends Punahou High School and has made her presence known, both at the plate and behind the plate. In 2023, she hit .323 with 20 hits, 19 RBIs, and 3 homeruns. In 2023 and 2024, she was an Honorable Mention on the Interscholastic League Softball Team. Hinahara plays travel ball for LK Black.Â

"Lexi is the first recruit from Hawaii that we have had over my first four seasons. She plays for a very talented team from the islands and we are excited to bring her out to Idaho for her collegiate career. Lexi is a very fundamentally sound catcher and can also play in the infield a little bit as well."
Renay Chavez | 5' 6" | Infield | Placentia, CaliforniaÂ
Chavez attends El Dorado High School and has demonstrated her value as a part of the team. As a freshman in 2022, she hit .389 with 21 hits, 2 RBIs, and had 10 stolen bases. She plays travel ball for Wildcats Weil. In 2024, Renay was named to the PGF All-American Watchlist for the Junior Class (Class of 2025).Â

"Renay will help us in the middle infield and also brings the short game element to our offense. We wanted to add someone that could slap a little bit and Renay can do it all from the left side so we are looking forward to adding her to the program starting next fall."
