POCATELLO, Idaho – Coming off of a much-needed bye week, the Idaho State Bengals travel to Ogden Utah this weekend to take on the Weber State Wildcats.

THE SERIES - This is the 64th all-time meeting of the Bengals and Wildcats with the series going back to 1962. The Bengals and Wildcats are both Big Sky charter schools and the Bengals have played the Wildcats more than any other opponent in WSU schools' history.  The Wildcats dominate the series, leading 48-15 all-time. The Bengals haven't defeated the Wildcats in a decade, the last win being a 46-28 win in 2014. ISU has not won in Ogden since the 1984 season.

RING THE BELL – Idaho State and Weber State have partnered to bring back the Train Bell Trophy for the Bengals-Wildcats series. The Bell, originally constructed in 1964 was used for 10 years as a rivalry trophy between the two schools. 2024 will mark the return of the trophy as a yearly

OFFENSIVE LINE STEPPING UP -  Despite shifting positions in the offensive line over the entirety of the season, the Bengal offensive line has stepped up, only allowing 3 sacks in the previous six games combined.

Overtime WIN- The Idaho State Bengals have not had many overtime games in the past decade of Bengal football. The 30-27 OT win over Sacramento State was just the 2nd overtime game since the 2018 season

PASSING OFFENSE ADJUSTMENTS - The Idaho State Bengals are ranked 7th in the nation in passing offense averaging 289 yards per game. The Bengals got back on track against Cal Poly with 425 passing yards after two slower passing games against Montana State and Southern Utah.

Cutting it Close- The Bengals' previous 4 games have all been decided by one possession. In two of them (Cal Poly, Sac State) the Bengals put together walk-off final possessions to win the games. In the past 4 games, the Bengals have had possession of the ball within the last minute of play, only capitalizing on two out of the four.
