POCATELLO, Idaho - Following Idaho State's 38–36 road upset of No. 6 UC Davis, the Bengals swept the Big Sky Conference's weekly awards for the second time this season.
Running back Dason Brooks was named Offensive Player of the Week, linebacker Nathan Reynolds earned Defensive Player of the Week, and kicker Trajan Sinatra claimed Special Teams Player of the Week honors after standout performances that powered Idaho State to its first Top-10 victory since 2021.
Brooks led the Bengal offense with a career-best 219 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries. His 219 yards rank sixth all-time in Idaho State single-game history and marked the program's first 200-yard rushing performance since 2017. The honor is Brooks' second career Big Sky weekly award after previously earning Offensive Player of the Week earlier this season.
Reynolds anchored the Bengal defense with seven tackles and a game-sealing interception in the final seconds. His takeaway sealed Idaho State's first road win over a ranked opponent under Head Coach Cody Hawkins. Reynolds led a unit that forced three turnovers and held UC Davis to just 2-of-8 on third down in the victory.
Sinatra was perfect in the kicking game, going 6-for-6 on scoring attempts, including a 50-yard game-winning field goal with 52 seconds remaining. He also converted all five PATs, accounting for 11 total points in the win. The recognition marks Sinatra's fourth career Big Sky weekly honor, the most by any player in program history.
This marks Idaho State's second Big Sky award sweep of the 2025 season, after also claiming all three honors the week of Aug. 25 for their performances in the season opener at UNLV. It is the first time in program history that Idaho State has swept the conference's weekly awards twice in the same year.
Idaho State (3–6, 2–3 Big Sky) returns home to the ICCU Dome this Saturday, hosting Cal Poly at 2 p.m. on ESPN+ and KISU 91.1 FM.
