PROVO, Utah – The Idaho State women's tennis team traveled down to Salt Lake City and Provo, Utah this weekend, taking on the University of Utah on Friday and BYU on Saturday.
Idaho State would be unable to make any noise in their opening doubles play versus Utah, with the Utes sweeping the Bengals, 0-3.
DOUBLES
Akid/Valletta (UU) def. Shalakhova/Shoybek (ISU) 7-6 (7-4)
Kamper/Roberts (UU) def. Morris/Day (ISU) 6-3
Horwood/Lolofie (UU) def. Grymalska/Mikkelson (ISU) 6-3
Idaho State would look to come back in Singles play, however, not much would come of it as
Olivia Mikkelson and
Sydney Morris would be the only two to manage to win the first set in the singles play. Both of their matches would go unfinished in the end, and Utah would take the win, 4-0.

After falling in Salt Lake City, the Bengals would return to the court the next morning to take on BYU in Provo for match number two on the weekend.
In doubles the Bengals would put up their best fight, but be unable to come away with a win, losing the doubles point, 0-3.

Levelston/Tullis (BYU) def. Morris/Day (ISU) 6-0
Smith/Heni (BYU) def. Grymalska/Mikkelson (ISU) 6-3
In singles play, Idaho State showed some life, with multiple Bengals winning their first sets, and
Olivia Mikkelson coming out of her match with a win. However, the Cougars would prove to be too much for ISU, and the Bengals would come out of Provo with a 1-6 loss.

Following this weekend's matches, Idaho State will fall to 3-3 overall.
