POCATELLO, Idaho – The Bengals men's tennis team hosted the Sacramento State Hornets on Sunday for their second Big Sky Conference match of the season.
In doubles, the Bengals #1 & #2 teams would take it to their Hornet opponents, both winning handily.

De Pellegrin/Sklenka (ISU) def. Libal/Lamchinniah (SAC) 6-1
Rawson/Lamothe (ISU) def. Whitehead/Duris (SAC) 6-2
Ciguenza/Bouman (ISU) vs. Rand/Bowles (SAC) 3-5, unfinished
The Bengals felt confident after their big doubles win, and carried their momentum over into singles, with each Bengal player taking the victory in their singles match.

Victor Sklenka (ISU) def. Henry Lamchinniah (SAC) 6-2, 6-2
Valentino De Pellegrin (ISU) def. Gur Libal (SAC) 6-7 (7-9), 6-2, 6-0
Jowan Rawson (ISU) def. Nick Bowles (SAC) 6-0, 6-2
Quentin Lamothe (ISU) def. Hayden Rand (SAC) 7-5, 6-4
Sam Wensley (ISU) def. Martin Duris (SAC) 7-5, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7)
Luka Vujacic (ISU) def. David Dai (SAC) 3-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-4)
Idaho State earns a 7-0 win over Sacramento State and their first Big Sky win on the season. Following the 1-0 week of play ISU will move to 6-6 overall on the season and move to 1-1 in Big Sky play.
"It was a great team effort", said Head Coach, Oliver Good. "It was highlighted by coming out really strong in the doubles that set up the rest of the day for us.
We've got some big matches against Utah State and Northern Arizona coming up now and we're looking forward to that."

Up next for the Bengals, they will host Utah State on Friday, March 7
th at 11 A.M. for a rematch of their 3-4 loss to the Aggies on Valentine's Day. The Bengals will also host the preseason favorites to win the Big Sky Conference, Northern Arizona, on Sunday, March 9
th at 11 A.M.
