Women's Tennis Drops Contest at Montana State, 1-6

BOZEMAN, Montana – The Idaho State women's tennis team traveled to Bozeman, MT for a conference match against the Montana State Bobcats on Sunday morning.

ISU would be unable to get much going in doubles play, falling in the #1 & #2 doubles matches.

Idaho State would attempt to make a comeback in singles play, but come up short, with just Millie Day coming away with a win, and the Bengals falling to the Bobcats, 1-6.

"We played spotty today", shared Head Coach, Gretchen Maloney. "We had some really great moments but too many errors overall. We had chances in both doubles and singles but they were the more consistent team today."

Following the loss, Idaho State will drop to 9-11 on the season, and 2-5 in Big Sky Conference play.

ISU's matchup against Eastern Washington next Saturday will be a big one, as both teams eye the 6th and final seed in the Big Sky Championships. Idaho State will be wrapping their regular season up, however, the Eagles will still have 3 more Big Sky Conference matches (Montana, Montana State, & Portland State) to play following their match vs. the Bengals.

UP NEXT
Up next for Idaho State, they will play in their final two regular season matches of the season this upcoming weekend, traveling to Spokane & Cheney, Washington to faceoff against Gonzaga, followed by Eastern Washington. The Bengals match at Gonzaga will be on Friday, April 11th and their match at EWU will be on Saturday, April 12th.
