POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho State cross country unveiled its 2025 schedule Tuesday, featuring six meets across five states and highlighted by the home-hosted Bengal Invitational on October 3 at the Centennial Cross Country Course.
The season begins on Friday, August 30 at the Utah State Alumni Challenge in Logan, Utah, with the men's race set for 9:00 a.m. followed by the women at 9:45 a.m. on the Steve and Dona Reeder Cross Country Course.
On Thursday, September 19, the Bengals travel to Missoula for the Montana Invitational, hosted at the University of Montana Golf Course. The meet is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
ISU returns home on Friday, October 3, to host the Bengal Invitational at the newly renovated Centennial XC Course in Pocatello. The course recently underwent a near $1 million overhaul, featuring a versatile 3k–2k split design that enhances course layout flexibility and spectator viewing. Additional improvements include the use of fine gravel to improve surface quality and prevent erosion, creating a more durable and race-optimized terrain. The renovation reflects ISU's commitment to elevating the student-athlete experience. Details about the project can be found here. The men's and women's races are slated for 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., respectively.
Mid-October sees the Bengals compete in the Pre-National Invitational at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Missouri, on Saturday, October 18. The meet will be hosted by the University of Missouri. Race times are TBA.
The postseason begins with the Big Sky Conference Championships on Saturday, November 1, hosted by Montana State at Bridger Creek Golf Course in Bozeman, Montana. Race times are TBA.
The Bengals will wrap up the season at the NCAA Mountain Regional Championships on Friday, November 14, hosted by the University of Utah at Valley Regional Park in Taylorsville, Utah. Race times are TBA.
