POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State women's tennis team earned a pair of victories over Colorado Mesa on Sunday, Feb. 8th, inside Reed Gym, defeating the Mavericks 6–1 in the opening match before closing the day with a dominant 7–0 sweep in the second match of the doubleheader.
"Overall, I felt like the girls competed well in both matches", said Head Coach, Gretchen Maloney. "We started a little slow in doubles, but then figured it out. Everyone made a plan for their game and they executed it well."
Match 1 – Idaho State 6, Colorado Mesa 1
Doubles
Idaho State came out with energy in doubles play, setting the tone early by securing wins on two courts to claim the opening point.
Singles
The Bengals carried momentum into singles and clinched the dual with five wins across the lineup.
