Bengals Cruise to Senior Day Victory Over Weber State, 5-2

POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State men's tennis team celebrated Senior Day in style on Saturday at Reed Gym, earning a 5–2 victory over Weber State. The Bengals improve to 10–9 overall and 4–3 in Big Sky Conference play following the win.

Prior to the match, Idaho State honored its three seniors, Valentino De Pellegrin, Tyler Dalos, and Quentin Lamothe, recognizing their contributions to the program before their final home appearance.

"It was great to win on senior day for our three seniors Tyler, Quentin and Valentino," said head coach Oliver Good. "We appreciate everything they have given to our program and for all being the team first players that they are. We're looking forward to getting ready to giving it our all in Phoenix next week."


Doubles

Idaho State secured the doubles point with wins on courts two and three, taking early control of the dual in front of the home crowd.

Singles

The Bengals carried that momentum into singles play, winning four of six courts to secure the 5–2 team victory, highlighted by strong performances across the lineup.

  • No. 1 Singles: Valent De Pellegrin fell to Ken Dinh, 7–6 (7–5), 1–6, 2–6.
  • No. 2 Singles: Sam Wensley fell to Theo Mottier, 7–6 (7–4), 3–6, 3–6.
  • No. 3 Singles: Luka Vujacic defeated Dawid Scholtz, 6–3, 6–3.
  • No. 4 Singles: Rafael Maya defeated Toit Malan, 6–2, 6–1.
  • No. 5 Singles: Quentin Lamothe defeated Clement Lecoq, 6–2, 6–3.
  • No. 6 Singles: Tyler Dalos defeated Samuel Battistone, 6–1, 6–3.
