Barrenechea won all three of the three-set matches he entered into during the season ... His first three-set match victory was against Robert Chalkley of Idaho 6-1, 1-6, 6-2 at the No. 3 spot (2/22) ... He then defeated Fernando Gallegos of Utah State 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 at the No. 3 spot (2/26) and again in three sets on April Fool’s Day 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 3 spot (4/1) ...
