Idaho State (2024): In her senior campaign, Aliyah has helped lead the Bengals to one of the best starts in program history... in 31 matches and 123 sets played she has racked up 1,146 assists averaging 9.32 assists per set, 312 digs averaging 2.54 digs per set, 120 kills on a .292 attack percentage, 20 service aces, and 65 total blocks... named the Boise State All-Tournament MVP (9/15/24)... set her career-high with 60 assists against Montana State (10/03/24)... reached 2,000 career assists during the match against University of Northern Colorado (11/14/24)... named to the Big Sky All-Conference First Team... named to the Big Sky All-Tournament Team

Idaho State (2023): Played in 28 matches for the Bengals with 91 sets played... had 82 kills with an average of 0.9 kills per set and a 7.14 attack percentage... had 26 attacks against Idaho (09/30/23)... grabbed 234 digs with 2.57 per set… had 22 blocks with three solo and 19 assists.. had 48 assists against Weber State (10/06/23).

Personal: Aliyah Sopo’aga is a senior setter for the Bengals majoring in Communications with an emphasis in Social Media. Aliyah’s favorite professional sports team is the San Francisco 49ers, her favorite movie is Greater and her favorite spot to eat in Pocatello is Goody’s. Outside of volleyball Aliyah enjoys hanging out with family and friends. Before the game Aliyah always finds five minutes of time to be alone and calm her nerves and thoughts to get ready for the task at hand, and she likes to listen to hip-hop to get herself pumped up. Aliyah’s favorite moment as a player was playing in the state championship her junior and senior years of high school.
