Personal: Asem is from Kazakhstan where she attended the Academy of Sport and Tourism. Her parents are Zhanara and Erbolat, and she has four siblings - an older brother, Nursultan, and three younger siblings Nurasil, Nurture, and Amina. Here at Idaho State she is majoring in Sports Management! 

Head Coach Gretchen Maloney Comment: “She's got a very strong powerful game and her experience in both singles and doubles should help us tremendously. She's played at a high-level internationally, which will transfer over nicely to college tennis."
