Fiefia has coached the running backs and tight ends his first two years before being promoted to Assistant Head Coach in the spring of 2017. He will continue to coach the running backs while also taking on kick team duties.

In the last three years the Bengal rushing attack has continued to improve under Fiefia's guidance. In 2016, the Bengals rushed for 1,358 yards and 14 touchdowns and in 2017 that number increased to 19 touchdowns and 1,962 yards. In 2018, once again behind the rushing attack of James Madison and Ty Flanagan Idaho State rushed for 2,244 yards and 22 touchdowns. James Madison earned second-team all-conference and was invited to the Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints rookie camp. Ty Flanagan earned honorable mention-conference.

Flanagan finished the 2019 season as one the top running backs in program history as he finished his career with 2,494 yards, good for the sixth best mark in school history. In 2019, freshman Malakai Rango rushed for the third most rushing yards for a freshman in program history with 509. In the six-game 2021 spring season, the Bengals scored seven touchdowns and averaged 121.7 rushing yards a game.

In Fiefia's first year as coach in 2015 he coached ISU All-Time rushing yards leader Xavier Finney.

Fiefia was a graduate assistant at Utah State for the last three seasons working with offensive coordinator Kevin McGiven and the Aggie running backs.

Fiefia was a four-year letterwinner as a running back at Utah State from 2000-03. He earned first-team all-Sun Belt in 2003 as an all-purpose player and second-team as a running back. Fiefia finished his career rushing for 1,193 yards and nine touchdowns. He caught 80 passes for 707 yards and two touchdowns.

Fiefia graduated from Utah State in 2003 with a degree in marketing. He is a native of West Valley, Utah. He and his wife Celestia have seven children.
