COACH DYNO:

A veteran of both college and professional football, Daniel “Dynamite” Kuhn first arrived in Pocatello prior to training camp in August 2023. Last season he served as Special Teams Quality Control and was elevated by Cody Hawkins to Director of Football Operations in January 2024 with fiduciary responsibilities, coordinating team travel, and day-to-day logistics of the football program.

Most recently Dynamite spent time in the 2020 version of the XFL serving on the league wide competition committee as Director of Football Operations under June Jones for the undefeated Houston Roughnecks. He has spent time as Director of Football Operations on the East Coast (University of Pennsylvania, Howard University, Hartford Colonials of the United Football League) on the West Coast (Portland State under Jerry Glanville), and worked in D-III where he served as Recruiting Coordinator for Brevard College in North Carolina from 2017-2019.

While at Georgia Southern Dynamite had construction oversight of a football specific endzone complex, helped the program transition from FCS to FBS, and was part of the staff that defeated Florida in Gainesville. At Tennessee State, Dynamite negotiated a nonconference game against Georgia State and orchestrated a Pro Day that had more TSU players drafted than any other school in Tennessee with back-to-back multiple FCS draft picks. Recruiting classes under his tenure at Penn accounted for Ivy League titles in 3 out of the next 4 years He began his career as a pro personnel intern with the Buffalo Bills.

In addition, Dynamite has served on five different all-star coaching staffs including the NFL affiliated East West Shrine Game on three separate occasions (2013, 2014 opposite future Bengals colleague Keith Price , 2016) working with future NFL/CFL players OT Terron Armstead, OG Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, and quarterbacks Jimmy Garoppolo, Collin Klein, and Vernon Adams. A native of Zachary, Louisiana he graduated from Nicholls State University, where he was a competitive powerlifter, and added a Certificate of Leadership from e-Cornell in 2022. He is a proud member of the Hispanic Texas High School Football Coaches Association.
