Filipe Sitake joined the Idaho State coaching staff as an assistant defensive line coach in the winter of 2025. Sitake played collegiately at Weber State from 2015-18, appearing in 49 career games with 46 starts on the Wildcat defensive line. He was part of back-to-back Big Sky Conference championship teams and helped lead Weber State to three-straight FCS Playoff appearances. Sitake finished his career with 102 total tackles and 12 tackles for loss, capping his time in Ogden with a senior season that saw him earn third-team All-America honors from the Associated Press and first-team All-Big Sky recognition after recording 45 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and a blocked kick.

Personal
A graduate of Mountain View High School, Sitake was born Sept. 2, 1993, in Orem, Utah. He served an LDS Church mission to Tonga prior to enrolling at Weber State, where he majored in Professional Sales. He is the cousin of former Weber State assistant coach Fesi Sitake.
