Mondt joined the Bengals coaching staff for the 2023 season with the hiring of new head coach Cody Hawkins. 

In his first season coaching the quarterbacks, Mondt helped coach the No. 1 passing offense in the FCS with the Bengal offense averaging 337.7 passing yards on average per game in the season. 

Mondt is a two-time graduate of Northern Colorado earning both his bachelor’s and master’s degree from UNC.

A Loveland, Colorado native, he attended Resurrection Christian High School.
