Mike Philipp enters his second season as an assistant coach at Idaho State, coaching the offensive line.

In Philipp's first year starting center Dallen Collins earned third-team all-conference and Dakota Wilson earned Academic All-American honors. 

Philipp comes to Idaho State after serving as the offensive line coach and run game coordinator at Long Beach Poly High School.

Prior to Long Beach Poly, Philipp spent three years (2015-18) at Nebraska as a quality control coach, graduate manager and assistant director of player personnel. During this time he was involved with the offensive line, recruiting and opponent scouting.

In 2014, Philipp served as a quality control coach with the offensive line at USC and that same year he coached the offensive and defensive line at Mira Costa High School.

Philipp played at Oregon State from 2009-13, was a four-year letter winner and a 2009 Freshman All-American. He graduated with a bachelor of science in health management and policy.

Following his time at Oregon State, Philipp spent time with the Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins and the San Francisco 49ers during the 2014 season.
