Idaho State Outdoor (2025): In his senior outdoor season, Brandon Walker showcased his versatility and endurance across multiple distance events. At the Beach Invitational on April 17, 2025, he achieved a personal best in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:08.27, placing 10th. He also competed in the 5000m at the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 14, 2025, finishing 15th with a time of 14:54.12. Earlier in the season, Walker recorded a time of 9:12.03 in the 3000m steeplechase at the Big Sky Championships, securing 10th place. Additionally, he ran the 1500m in 4:01.88 at the Weber State Spring Classic on April 5, 2024, demonstrating his range in middle-distance events.Â
Idaho State Indoor (2024–25): During the indoor season, Walker continued to compete in distance events. He achieved a personal best in the mile with a time of 4:23.09 at the Bobcat Challenge on January 25, 2025, placing 11th. In the 3000m, he recorded a time of 8:43.77 at the Inland Northwest Invitational on February 1, 2025, finishing 16th. At the Big Sky Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on February 27, 2025, Walker ran the 3000m in 8:49.45, placing 21st. He also contributed to the distance medley relay team, which clocked a time of 10:18.40 at the same championships.
Idaho State Cross Country (2024): In his final cross country season, Walker participated in several key meets. He ran the 8k at the Big Sky Conference Cross Country Championships on November 1, 2024, finishing 55th with a time of 24:57.1. Earlier in the season, he competed in the 8k at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational on October 4, 2024, placing 129th with a time of 25:27.9. At the LC State Invite on October 19, 2024, he completed the 8k in 25:50.6, securing 54th place.
Idaho State (2024): Ran at the UVU XC Collegiate Invitational in the 3M with a time of 14:52.5s (08/30/24)... competed at the Big Sky Preview Meet in the 6k with a time of 25:19.6s (09/20/24)... ended the year at the Big Sky Conference XC Championships helping lead the team to a 6th place finish (finished 28th individually) - the best team finish since 2018 (11/01/2024)...
Idaho State (2023): Ran 19:01.9s in the 6k at the Idaho State Open to help secure a 5th finish (09/22/23)... finished 14th at the SUU Color Country Invitational in the 6k with a final time of 19:32.8s (10/27/23)... named to the Big Sky Fall All-Academic Team.
Idaho State (2022): Finished 15th in the Idaho State open in the 6k with a time of 19:30.7s (09/23/22)... competed in the Big Sky Cross Championships in the 8k with a time of 25:38.1s (10/15/22)... was given the 2022 Bengal Endurance Award... named to the Big Sky Fall All-Academic Team.
Idaho State (2021): Competed in the UVU XC Invitational in the 5k with a time of 17:22.2s (09/03/21)... ran at the Idaho State Open in the 6k with a time of 19:31.5s (09/25/21)... competed at the NCAA Division I Mountain Region Cross Country Championships in the 10k finishing in 34:32.0s (11/12/21)... named to the Big Sky Fall All-Academic Team.
Idaho State (2020): Covid redshirt… named to the Big Sky Fall All-Academic Team.
Mountain View High School: Four-time varsity letter recipient in cross country, three-time Cross Country All-State selection (2017, 2018, 2019), three-time varsity letter recipient in track, Cross Country and Track team captain (2018, 2019), broke and holds the school record in the 3200m
Personal: Son of Mary and Alan Walker, Brandon is very family-oriented. He has two older siblings Jarden and Megan, and two younger siblings Emily and Jack. His sister Megan is married to Spencer and Brandon is the favorite uncle to his niece Lainey. Walker served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Chalco, Mexico. When Brandon is not on the course or on the track he works as a career path intern for the Human Performance Lab here at Idaho State. His hobbies also include disc golf, off-roading and watching sports. At the end of the year he will be graduating with a B.S. Sport and Exercise Science, a B.A. Spanish for the Health Professions, and an A.S. Business. After graduation he plans to attend Physical Therapy School next year with the goal of creating his own Physical Therapy and Sports Performance Clinic in the future.
