Ethan Lye joins the Bengal Tennis after playing one full season with the Bengals.

Lye, a Singapore native, played during the 2021-22 season for Idaho State. He was 4-3 in singles play, 1-0 in doubles with partner Ege Cankus, and 2-1 in doubles with partner Wikus Robbertse.
Prior to Idaho State, Ethan was the top ranked junior player in Singapore. Lye was ranked as high as No. 255 in the ITF Junior Rankings and was rated as high as a 12.73 Universal Tennis Rating (UTR). A member of the Singapore Davis Cup Team, Lye picked up three ITF tournament titles during his junior career. Lye was crowned champion at the 2017 New South Wales International Grade 5, the 2018 Hong Kong ITF Grade 4, and the 2019 ITF J5 in Singapore. In 2019, Lye defeated the top ranked junior player in the world at the J1 Sarawak, before falling in the third round.
