Idaho State Cross Country (2025): Jacob competed in five meets this season with the Bengals, adding considerable depth to an otherwise smaller cross country team this year. He recorded PBs in the 7k at the USU Invitational (21:48) and the 8k at the Big Sky Cross Country Championships (25:55) placing 41st for the team.

Idaho State Outdoor (2025): Jacob DeTemple continued to develop as a middle-distance runner during his junior outdoor season. He achieved a personal best in the 1500m, clocking 3:59.35 at the Bengal Invitational (05/02/25), where he placed 8th. At the Ed Jacoby Twilight (04/25/25), DeTemple ran 4:03.05 in the 1500m, finishing 18th. He also competed in the 5000m at the Utah Spring Classic (04/12/25), recording a time of 16:04.85 for 6th place. In the mile, he posted a personal best of 4:21.84 at the Weber State Spring Classic (04/11/25), placing 17th. At the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships (05/14/25), DeTemple ran 4:09.38 in the 1500m preliminaries.

Idaho State Indoor (2024–25): During the indoor season, DeTemple opened with a 9:34.68 in the 3000m at the Snake River Open (01/16/25), finishing 45th. He ran the mile in 4:31.42 at the Stacy Dragila Open (02/07/25), securing 6th place. At the Mountain States Games (02/14/25), DeTemple did not finish his mile race.

Idaho State Cross Country (2024): In the cross country season, DeTemple ran a 6k in 25:00.8 at the Big Sky Preview Meet (09/20/24), finishing 18th. He completed the 8k at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational (10/04/24) in 26:00.3, placing 112th. At the NCAA Division I Mountain Region Cross Country Championships (11/15/24), he ran the 10k in 32:51.5, finishing 103rd.
