Biography

Idaho State Indoor (2026): Isaiah Leonard put together a solid sophomore season in the throws, showing steady progression in both the shot put and weight throw. He recorded a season best of 14.84m (48’ 8.25”) in the shot put at the Snake River Open and consistently threw over 14 meters throughout the year. In the weight throw, Leonard improved as the season progressed, reaching a personal best of 17.21m (56’ 5.75”) to place sixth at the Mountain States Games. He added multiple top-10 finishes, including a pair of fourth-place efforts at the ISU Winter Open, and gained valuable experience competing at the Big Sky Conference Championships to cap off his second collegiate season.

Idaho State Outdoor (2025): In his freshman outdoor season, Isaiah Leonard established himself as a promising thrower for the Bengals. He achieved a personal best in the shot put with a throw of 15.07m (49'5.5") at the Bengal Invitational (05/02/25), securing 10th place. Leonard also recorded a personal best in the discus throw, reaching 44.69m (146'7") at the Beach Invitational (04/17/25), placing 47th. In the hammer throw, he achieved a personal best of 45.85m (150'5") at the Bengal Invitational, finishing 11th. At the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships (05/14/25), Leonard placed 14th in the shot put with a mark of 14.56m (47'9.25").

Idaho State Indoor (2024–25): During the indoor season, Leonard demonstrated consistent performance in the throwing events. He achieved a personal best in the shot put with a mark of 14.23m (46'8.25") at the Mountain States Games (02/14/25), placing 12th. In the weight throw, he recorded a personal best of 14.55m (47'9") at the same meet, finishing 13th. Leonard also competed in the shot put and weight throw at the Stacy Dragila Open (02/07/25), recording marks of 13.46m (44'2") and 13.62m (44'8.25"), respectively

Personal: Isaiah, a local from Pocatello, is the son of Erin Brownley. He is majoring in Biomedical Sciences here at Idaho State!
