    Volunteer Assistant Coach
Camron Hammond enters his first year as a volunteer assistant coach with the Idaho State softball program.  A native of St. Anthony, Idaho, Hammond enjoyed an outstanding high school career at South Fremont High School where he was named the 2006 Idaho State Player of the Year in both baseball and basketball.
 
Hammond then went on to play two successful seasons of baseball at the College of Idaho.  He played in over 85 games for the Yotes, starting primarily at shortstop and second base.  In his best season, Hammond hit .304 and was a perfect 18-18 in stolen base attempts.

Hammond is currently pursuing a master’s Ddegree at Idaho State in the athletic administration program. He also works as a graduate assistant in academic advising for the ISU College of Education. 

Hammond graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from BYU-Idaho in April of 2013 with honors.

He and his wife Emily currently reside in Chubbuck.
