Randy Clark joined the Idaho State softball staff as an assistant coach of July of 2019. Before ISU, Clark spent eight years as Associate Head Coach at Whitworth University where he worked alongside Idaho State's current Head Coach Cristal Brown.

During his eight seasons at Whitworth, Clark played an integral role in helping develop the Pirates into three-time Northwest Conference champions (2015-17), the first softball titles in school history.

Before Whitworth, he coached at The Master's College for three seasons from 2000-2003. His first season was the inaugural year for the program and by the third year he led the program to an NAIA post-season appearnce while also breaking into the top 25 national rankings. Clark coached highly competitive travel ball teams for seven years in California before coaching collegiately. He led his 18-under teams to top-four finishes twice at the national ASA tournament where he coached many athletes who went on to become All-Americans at both the DI and DII Levels. 

Clark received his B.A. from Cedarville (OH) University, his Masters of Science in Accounting from Kent State University, and earned a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership at Pepperdine University. He was honored as alumnus of the year in 2010 by the Graduate School of Education and Psychology at Pepperdine University. He currently serves on boards of companies including Spice World and Farmer Brothers Coffee which is a publicly traded company. Clark has served as CEO for many private equity owned, financially challenged companies and is routinely being retained for consulting services.
