Sabrina Boyd enters her second season as an assistant coach for the Idaho State softball program.

Boyd comes to Idaho State in pursuit of starting her coaching career after competing collegiately at Corban University where she received her degree in accounting with a minor in criminal justice.  During her four year career as a college athlete, Boyd became the record-holder in single-season innings pitched (202.1), single-season wins (23), single-season appearances (36), single-season games started (32), single-season shutouts (9), career ERA (2.18), career innings pitched (497.2), career wins (54), career appearances (103), career games started (73), and career shutouts (17).

In 2018, Boyd helped lead the Warriors to the program's second-straight NAIA Tournament, boasting a 20-8 record and 1.76 ERA to go alongside 21 complete games and nine shutouts. She was named CCC Pitcher of the Year for the second-consecutive year for her performance. In 2017, she led her team to a National Runner-Up finish in the NAIA National Tournament in Clermont, Florida after winning the CCC regular season championship. Boyd set multiple school records during the 2017 season pitching 36 games and starting in 32 while holding a 1.73 ERA. She left the opposing teams to a .276 batting average during 202.1 total innings. She earned NAIA All-American Honorable Mention plaudits, was named the CCC Pitcher of the Year, named First-Team All-Conference honros, contributed to her team earning NAIA Scholar-Team accolades and being named the George Pasero Team of the Year at the Oregon Sports Awards.

In 2016, the program appeared at the CCC Tournament where Boyd registered three wins and one loss in 24.1 innings pitched. She recorded a season 3.74 ERA while compiling 16 strikeouts. She helped her program earn NAIA Scholar-Team Honors. Her freshman season in the 2015 was the program's first CCC Tournament Championship title. Boyd helped her team to a NAIA National Tournament appearance while starting eigth out of 23 games pitched. She threw two shutouts and 82.1 innings total, recording an 8-4 record with a 3.74 ERA.
