Ashley Elliott begins her first season as an assistant coach with the women’s basketball program.

Elliott is no stranger to Big Sky basketball as she served as an assistant coach at Weber State for the last two seasons, from 2009-11.  With the Wildcats, Elliott served as the coordinator for team travel, film and video as well as social media.  Her coaching duties on the court included assisting in guard development and directing team and individual summer camps.

Prior to Weber State, she served as a graduate assistant coach at Arizona State for two seasons from 2007-09.  She assisted the team in all day-to-day operations and helped ASU reach the Elite Eight in 2009.

Before turning to coaching, Elliott competed at Wyoming from 2001-05, where she was earned Kodak/WBCA All-American Honorable Mention honors in 2005.  Elliott served as team co-captain her junior and senior seasons for the Cowgirls and earned Mountain West Conference first-team in 2004 and 2005.  She also earned Mountain West Conference Scholar Athlete accolades all four seasons.

After her stint in college basketball, Elliott played professionally overseas for two seasons with the Uni-Neuchatel Club of Switzerland. During her time in Switzerland she helped organize and instruct free clinics in local schools promoting women’s basketball and acted as an assistant coach for the Neuchatel Junior Basketball Club.

Elliott earned her bachelor’s of science in business administration in 2005 from Wyoming and attained her masters of higher and post secondary education from Arizona State in 2009.
