Shannon Boyle begins her first season as a part time assistant coach at Idaho State. Boyle will primarily work with the goalkeepers as well as helping with various other duties. As a keeper at Idaho State, competing from 2001-04, she is considered one of the best in program history. She sits atop numerous single season and career records at ISU and holds the career record for most minutes played (5,624), most wins (32), and total shutouts (19). In her time at Idaho State Boyle saw the Bengals earn three-straight Big Sky Conference Tournament Titles. She was named the Big Sky Tournament MVP in 2002 when she helped lead the Bengals to a Big Sky Conference tournament title as she posted a shutout against Portland State when the Bengals defeated the Vikings 1-0 in overtime. In 2003, Boyle would lead the Bengals to its third straight title as she posted two shutouts during the Big Sky Conference Tournament to capture the title for Idaho State. With Boyle in the keeper position ISU advanced to the second round of the NCAA College Cup in 2003, Idaho State's furthest advancement in program history.
