Nathan Capps

Nathan Capps enters his second season as an assistant track and field coach for the Bengals after a successful four-year tenure as a multi-event athlete at ISU. Capps will be assisting with the multi-event athletes.

Capps won the decathlon at the 2009 Big Sky Conference Outdoor Championship with 7,272 points garnering the Men’s Field Athlete of the Meet honors. His performance qualified him for an NCAA Championship appearance where he finished 21st in the decathlon, scoring 7,075 points.

Capps completed his ISU career with three Big Sky decathlon titles. He currently owns the fourth best mark in ISU history in the decathlon.

A Jerome, Idaho native, Capps graduated in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish with a minor in biology.
