Old and New Faces Dot 2005 Bengal Football Broadcast Team

Aug. 23, 2005

Pocatello, ID --- Some new faces join a pair of veterans as Idaho State University Director of Athletics Paul A. Bubb has announced the 2005 broadcast team for Idaho State football, headed up by Dave Reichelt, who returns for his fourth consecutive year as play-by-play man and "Voice of the Bengals". The Bengals will once again be flagshipped on KSEI Fox Sports 930 AM in Pocatello and KRXK Fox Sports 1230 AM in Rexburg.

Brad Bugger will host the Wells Fargo Dinner with the Coaches Show live from Red Lobster

Reichelt, who just concluded a long career as the lead sportscaster at News Channel 6 KPVI in Pocatello, joined the Bengal broadcast team in 2002. He will be joined this year by a new member of the team, Christian Batcheller, who spent the 2004-05 year as the Director of Marketing and Promotions for Idaho State. Batcheller, who will handle color commentary, played quarterback and Washington and Lee from 1996-99, and he still holds nine passing records there, including career marks for completions, attempts, yards, total offense, and touchdown passes.

Brad Bugger, who had served as the color man for several years, will now anchor "The Wells Fargo Dinner with the Coaches Show" on Monday night's at 6:00 pm live from Red Lobster on Yellowstone Avenue. Bugger will meet with seventh-year head coach Larry Lewis on Monday night to discuss the previous week's game as well as preview the upcoming opponent and answer questions from the audience as well.

Mark Liptak will serve as studio host and host of the ISU postgame call-in show

Also joining the broadcast team this season is Mark Liptak, a veteran of television and radio for nearly 20 years. Liptak will serve as ISU's studio host, handling score updates as well as ISU's halftime proceedings. Mark, who has spent the past seven years covering Idaho State football and basketball for the Associated Press, will also host a post-game call-in show, where Mark and the fans can discuss and dissect the action.

"Going into this year we wanted to strengthen our coverage, both in terms of personnel and broadcast area," said Paul Bubb. "I believe our broadcast teams reflect that move with a veteran play-by-play voice, a former college quarterback as analyst, and our in-studio and Monday host who both have several years of experience covering the Bengals."

"We continue to work to bring our fans, both in Southeastern Idaho and throughout the rest of Idaho and the Rocky Mountain region, with the best coverage possible."

Christian Batcheller will enter his first year on the broadcast team
