OGDEN, Utah- The Idaho State football team lost 39-12 to Weber State on Saturday at Stewart Stadium in front of a crowd of 11,297 fans. The Bengals drop to 2-5 and 1-4 in Big Sky Conference play while Weber State improved to 3-3 and 3-1 in league play.
Idaho State had 283 total yards led by
Rodrick Rumble's 14 catches for 166 yards and one touchowns.
Kevin Yost threw the ball for 284 yards on 30 completions for 52 attempts.
A.J. Storms led Idaho State defensively with 12 tackles while
Greg Melendez had nine tackles and
Jordan Monga seven.
ISU got off to a good start as the team took its opening drive 98 yards and scored on an
Aaron Prier one-yard run to take a 6-0 lead with 6:32 left in the first quarter. The drive was aided by Weber State getting called for four off side calls. The 98-yard drive was also the team's longest of the season.
Idaho State led 6-2 after the first quarter but trailed 15-6 at halftime. Trailing 22-6 in the third quarter, Rumble scored on an eight-yard reception. The scoring drive was a 12 play-68 yard drive. But the Wildcats then scored three straight touchdowns to put the game out of reach.
Idaho State returns to the field next Saturday for a 1 p.m. kickoff at BYU.

The 996 yards ranks him fifth on the single-season Top 10 list and the 75 receptions ranks him fourth. His eight touchdowns ties Sale' Key for 10th place on the single-season Top 10 list for receiving touchdowns.

A.J. Storms had 12 tackles and now only needs 32 tackles to pass Mike Calley has the program's all-time leading tackler. Calley had 414 tackles during his career as a Bengal from 1984-87.

Andrew Zamora caught a career-high six passes for 47 yards on Saturday. His previous career-high was three catches for 30 yards.
