Junior College: Lettered for two seasons at Fresno City College ... was a first team all-league selection in 2008 ... had 35 tackles in 2009 in eight games, with 4.5 tackles for a loss, and a sack ... recorded a pair of sacks and 3.5 tackles for a loss as a freshman, part of an 18 tackle campaign ... was a member of the Honor Roll and the Dean's List.

High School: Lettered in football for three years at Foothill High School, and two years in volleyball ... was named Defensive MVP at Foothill for the 2007 season, and he played in the 2008 Las Vegas All-Star Game, and he was named Defensive MVP as well.
