Biography

Idaho State: (2011) Played and started in all 11 games for the Bengals … recorded 51 tackles on the season, 32 of which were unassisted … led the team in tackles for loss and sacks with 9.5 and 3.5, respectively …  had two forced fumbles … also led the team in quarterback hurries with six and had two broken up passes … had six tackles, two tackles for loss and two sacks against Northern Colorado (9/17) … recorded 11 tackles, 10 of which were unassisted, and one tackle for loss versus Montana State (10/29).

2010: Played in all 11 games at defensive end for the Bengals, only months after suffering a torn ACL in 2009 season … compiled 20 tackles on the season with three for a loss … was third on the team with 2.0 sacks … had two tackles against Utah State … recorded a sack in consecutive games against Northern Colorado and Northern Arizona … had a season-high four tackles against Portland State … combined for five tackles in his final two games against Sacramento State and Eastern Washington.

2009: Played in five games before tearing his ACL against Eastern Washington ... started against Central Washington and Eastern Washington ... recorded nine tackles on the season ... had a season-high five tackles against Central Washington.

2008: Redshirted.

High School: Lettered in football, basketball, and track at Oak Harbor High School ... Was named First Team All-Area as both a tight end and a defensive end in both his junior and senior years ... was also named team Defensive MVP for the Wildcats ... was selected to play in the Washington All-State Game ... his teams went a combined 34-4 over his four seasons, winning three straight Wesco Championships ... his team also won the 4A state title, and the Wildcats made it to the 4A state quarterfinals in 2005 and 2007.

Personal: His parents are Kan and Nancy Rouser ... is majoring in engineering ... his birthday is November 4, 1990 ... his father played linebacker at the U.S. Naval Academy, and he had a pair of uncles that played linebacker, one at Navy, the other at Air Force.
