High School: Prepped at Idaho Falls High School and lettered in football and basketball … started junior and senior years at tight end … had 11 touchdowns, three two-point conversions, 575 total receiving yards and averaged 21 yards a catch … was one of three players in Eastern Idaho to be selected as an all-state football player (second-team all-state) … was first-team all-area and first-team all-conference and district as a tight end … lettered and started on the basketball team for two years … won the slam dunk contest at the District 5-6 all-star basketball game and led Idaho Falls to state for the first time in 11 years.
