BENGAL OVERVIEW
Idaho State (4-10-1, 1-4-0 BSC) splits its time on the road and at home in its final weekend of regulation play against teams tied for third in conference. The Bengals open the week at Sacramento State (6-7-2, 2-1-2 BSC) on Thursday, Oct. 20 at 5 p.m. at Hornet Field. Then ISU returns home for senior day on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 1 p.m. against Portland State (6-7-2, 2-1-2 BSC) at Davis Field. ISU honors seniors

BENGALS LOOK TO KEEP POST SEASON PLAY ALIVE
Idaho State is in a tough position, but its chances for post season play are still alive! To make it to the Big Sky tournament the Bengals need: Northern Colorado, Weber State and Idaho State to win both of its Big Sky matches this week. ISU also needs Portland State and Sacramento State to lose both matches. The best Montana can do is tie both contests or the Bengals to make a Big Sky Tournament appearance.
LAST WEEK IN BENGAL SOCCER
Idaho State split its contests at home this last week capturing a 2-1 victory over Eastern Washington for ISU's first Big Sky win which ended a 10-game non-winning streak. Then the Bengals fell 2-1 to Montana in a heartbreaker where the Bengals led 1-0 in to the break before the Griz scored two goals, sealing the win off a penalty kick.

The Bengals are led in scoring for the season by freshman forward
Amanda Ellsworth with six goals and an assist for 13 points.
Ashley Jones leads the Bengals in Big Sky action with four goals and an assist for nine points. Jones maintains a .800 shot on goal percentage with eight of her 10 shots on frame. Junior forward

• ISU's win over Eastern Washington was the first Big Sky win for the Bengals and ISU's first victory since August.
• ISU's win over Eastern Washington was ISU's second win of the season after an opponent scored first. The first win after an opponent scored first was ISU's 2-1 overtime victory defeating Nevada.
• Idaho State tied its opponent in shots for three straight games: 14 against Northern Arizona, 19 against Northern Colorado and 14 against Eastern Washington. However, in that time ISU had out-shot its opponents with on-goal shots 26-to-20.

Six Bengals will be back in their home state of California on Thursday when ISU plays Sacramento State.

ABOUT SACRAMENTO STATE
Sacramento State posts a 6-7-2 overall record and a 2-1-2 conference record. The Hornets come have ended their last two contests with ties against Northern Arizona (1-1) and Northern Colorado (0-0). Prior to the back-to-back ties Sacramento State had back-to-back victories. Victoria Ramirez leads the Hornets with six goals and three assists. Savannah Abercrombie has posted six shut-outs this season.

ABOUT PORTLAND STATE
Portland State owns a 6-7-2 overall record and a 2-1-2 Big Sky record going into its contest against Weber State on Oct. 22 at 11 a.m. before playing the Bengals. In the Vikings last three games, PSU has had two ties and a loss. Megan Martin leads the Vikings with six goals and two assists. Melissa Ferguson is in goal for Portland State having posted three shut-outs this season.
SERIES INFO AND LAST MEETING WITH VIKINGS
Idaho State leads the series 7-6-1 with the Bengals owning a 4-2-0 home record. Portland State is on a five-game winning streak. ISU held a seven-game winning streak from 1999-04. ISU fell 1-0 in the last meeting on the road.
IDAHO STATE CELEBRATES SENIOR DAY FOR THREE BENGALS
MEGAN STAINBROOK
From South Jordan, Utah,
Megan Stainbrook, aka Smalls, has been a huge presence in the Bengal backline and is Idaho State's most experienced player this season. She has played in 71 games for the Bengals starting in 64, the most on the team. As a defender she has scored three goals over her career and had four assists. She notched her first two goals her sophomore season in 2009. Her first career goal was against Wyoming in a 2-1 victory, then she scored the unassisted game-winner in ISU's 2-0 win over Northern Colorado. Her third career goal was this season when she headed in the game-tying goal with 1:50 remaining in regulation to allow Idaho State to defeat Nevada 2-1 in double-overtime. Stainbrook has had 57 shots over her career with 21 on goal.
TAYLOR POWELL
From Davis, Calif.,
Taylor Powell has played in 62 games and started in 32 over her career. In her time at Idaho State, she has recorded six goals for the Bengals and two assists for 14 points. Powell's first career goal was scored in a 7-1 victory at Southern Utah in 2007, her freshman season. Her sophomore and junior seasons she recorded two goals each year. As a junior, Powell scored the game-winning goal in ISU's 2-1 win at Loyola Chicago and she also scored for the Bengals in ISU's 4-3 win over Southern Utah at home. Her senior season, Powell scored ISU's first goal in a 4-1 victory over Northwest Nazarene. She had 40 shots with 17 on goal over her career.
ALEX HANSEN
From Wellsville, Utah,
Alex Hansen, known for her flip throw, has played in 61 games for the Bengals starting in 26. In her first game as a Bengals Hansen assisted on the game-winning goal using her flip-throw to inbound the ball with 16 seconds remaining in regulation to give ISU a 2-1 victory over Utah State in Idaho State's season opener. She notched her second assist as a sophomore in the semifinals of the Big Sky Conference tournament assisting on the game-winning goal in ISU's 2-1 win over Eastern Washington. As a junior, she notched an assist in the 4-3 win over Southern Utah at Davis Field. This season she recorded her first career goal on a header in ISU's 4-1 win over Northwest Nazarene at home. She has notched 43 shots with 10 on goal over her career.
