POCATELLO, Idaho – The Idaho State soccer team opens the 2026 regular season at Davis Field on Thursday, August 13, as the Bengals welcome Snow College to Pocatello. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
Idaho State enters the new season after getting its first action of the year in an exhibition match at BYU. The Bengals fell 5-1 to the Cougars, but after BYU scored three times in the opening 11 minutes, Idaho State settled into the match and was outscored just 2-1 over the final 79 minutes.
Thursday's contest will mark the first official regular-season matchup between Idaho State and Snow College.

Players to Watch – Idaho State Bengals
- Saydree Cooke – Cooke enters the 2026 season as one of the Bengals' two captains and provided Idaho State's goal in its exhibition matchup at BYU. Team leader in Assists & Points in 2025. Big Sky leader in Assists per Game & tied for lead in Assists last season
- Daphne Egelhoff – Egelhoff joins Cooke as a team captain for the 2026 campaign and will look to provide leadership for the Bengals throughout the season while holding down the back line.
- Samantha Fenske – Fenske returns to Idaho State after finishing top-5 on the team in both Goals and Points a season ago.
- Stephanie Roper – One of ISU's top returning point scorers from a season ago. Provided an assist for Idaho State in their exhibition match at BYU.
- Hannah Wieler – Wieler returns in goal for the Bengals after gaining valuable experience during her freshman campaign, setting the Idaho State Freshman Shutout record last year
