Bengals Play Home Opener vs. Colorado Christian

POCATELLO, Idaho- After opening the season with two games on the road, the Idaho State men's basketball team plays its home opener on Friday, Nov. 18 against Colorado Christian at 7 p.m. in Reed Gym. The game will be broadcasted live on 930 the Cruise with Jerry Miller and Brad Bugger calling the action and live audio and video can be found by logging onto isubengals.com.

SERIES INFO VS. COLORADO CHRISTIAN
This is the second meeting between the two schools. The first meeting came in the season opener in 2009 when ISU defeated the Cougars 77-60 on Nov. 21, 2009.

SCOUTING COLORADO CHRISTIAN
Colorado Christian started the season playing an exhibition game at Montana State where they fell 106-54 on Nov. 5. Then in Boise State's season opener the Broncos won 95-44.

BENGALS IN HOME OPENERS
The Bengals are 7-0 in home openers since 2004. The last loss ISU suffered in a home opener was an 87-78 loss to Boise State in 2003. Last year Idaho State defeated Great Falls 78-68 in the team's home opener.

THE WEEK THAT WAS
After leading for over half of the game, Oklahoma went on a late run to defeat Idaho State 78-74. Chase Grabau flirted with a triple-double as he had 10 points, eight rebounds and nine assists.  The nine assists was a career-high as he also had only one turnover in 38 minutes of play. Kenny McGowen led Idaho State with 14 points. Dejan Kostur had 12 points off the bench while Melvin Morgan had 11.  The Bengals then traveled to North Dakota where they fell 63-47 on Monday night. Andre Hatchett led ISU with 11 points in the loss.

THE DO IT ALL PLAYER
Idaho State senior Chase Grabau is a player that has shown to make all the hustle plays for the Bengals. This season he is averaging nine points, 6.5 rebounds in 34 minutes of play. He also has a team-best 11 assists to go along with three steals.

BIG SKY LEADERS
After the first week of the season, Chase Grabau is third in the conference in assists with an average of 5.5 while Kenny McGowen is fifth at 4.4 a game. Jakub Kusmieruk is sixth in field goal percentage at .667 percent while Grabau is 10th in rebounding at 6.5 a contest. Grabau's nine assists at Oklahoma, ties Sacramento State's Dylan Garrity for most assists in a game by a Big Sky Conference player.
