Dan Buckingham captured singles victories in Idaho State's 5-2 loss to Western New Mexico at the Bally's Hotel on Wednesday morning.
Cavalcanti pushed Johan Weich to three sets after falling 6-1 in the first set. The Bengal rallied for a 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory at the No. 3 position. Cavalcanti has won four of his last five matches.
Buckingham captured his victory in two sets defeating Jean Benoit Belin 7-6 (7-2), 6-4 at the No. 5 position. He improved his record to 2-4 for the season at the No. 5 position.
Leading the Bengals at the No. 1 position , senior
Danel Barrenechea captured the first set 6-3 against Emmanuel Menash. However Menash jumped ahead in the second set overcoming the Bengal 6-3, 6-2 in the second and third sets.
Idaho State fell to 1-11 while Western New Mexico improved to 7-3 for the season. The Bengals' next match is a double header against Seattle on Friday, March 25 at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Bally's Hotel.
