Amanda Ellsworth scored the equalizing goal 4:41 after New Mexico State's lone goal in the second period to send the contest into overtime. Idaho State (3-4-1) ended its four-game losing streak with a 1-1 double-overtime tie against New Mexico State (6-2-1) at Davis Field Friday afternoon.

The Bengals then dominated the Aggies in the second period 10-to-4 and in both overtime periods 6-to-0 to out-shoot New Mexico State 16-4 after the break.
"I thought we were pressing so hard with our shots I thought it was just a matter of time before we scored," said Head Coach
Allison Gibson. "I think if we played five more minutes we would have scored. We had the momentum. We were just going at them, going at them but we couldn't get that final shot to go for us, but I'm happy."

Rachel Strawn put all three of her shots on goal while Ellsworth's lone on shot goal was her goal. Senior forward
Taylor Powell and junior midfielder
Ashley Jones each had three shots as well. Both teams ended the contest with six shots on goal.
New Mexico State's Yolanda McMillion scored the first goal on a long break away run that began at the middle of the ISU half of the field. McMillion went one on one with ISU defender
Mikaela Carrillo who wrong footed for a second allowing McMillion to be able to get a shot off 10 yards out. Her shot sailed high over ISU keeper
Carly Hutchings-Maloney's head giving the Aggies a 1-0 lead at the 62:11 mark.
The Bengals quickly responded when sophomore midfielder
Allyson Stainbrook served up a free kick 20 yards out to the left of the goal. Ellsworth, a forward, got her foot on it amist a cluster of players to score the equalizer just 4:41 after the first goal of the game for her fifth goal of the season a current season-high for Idaho State. The assist was Stainbrook's third of the season for the current season-high for assists for ISU.
ISU saw its team click and rebecome the team they had been which earned a 3-0 start to the season.
"The one thing we work on, it's been a mental battle for us, is getting the confidence back. We know we can do it, it's just a matter of performing when the time is critical for us," said Gibson. "We were fighting threw that in the first half. At one point it was like trying to light a fire; it was like catch, catch, catch and when it did you could tell they kept building on that. That's the moral victory I'm talking about that we are taking away from this game today
The Bengals air game was significantly improved and they had several opportunities off headers to win the game. In the double overtime period
Allyssa Kenney got her head on a ball off a free kick at 101:11 while midfielder
Laura Benson's header at the 107:52 mark from a throw-in was saved by the keeper.
"That fight that we had, I'll take that every day. If we can put together some more coordinated soccer with that fight I think that's where we are headed," said Gibson.
The Bengals bring their fight to Utah on Sunday, Sept. 18 at the Ute Field. Kick-off is at 1 p.m.
