EQUAL FOOTING
The Bengals recorded its first tie game of the season against New Mexico State; ISU's first tied game since Idaho State's regulation 0-0 tie with Northern Arizona at Davis Field in 2009, a contest that was delayed due to lightning and called on account of darkness. Head Coach Allison Gibson holds the most tied games in a season record at Idaho State and in the Big Sky in 2007 with a 7-5-6 season. Under Gibson the Bengals have had 14 tied games, the most of any coach at Idaho State, followed by Gordon Henderson with 11 tied games.

BENGALS VS. NEW MEXICO STATE

Freshman Amanda Ellsworth  scored the equalizing goal 4:41 after New Mexico State's lone goal in the second period to send the contest into overtime.  Allyson Stainbrook  served up a free kick 20 yards out to the left of the goal.  Ellsworth, a forward, got her foot on it amist a cluster of players to score the equalizer.  Idaho State started the contest slow but the Bengals regained their composure towards the end of the first period tying the shot count at five apiece by the break.  The Bengals then dominated New Mexico State out-shooting the Aggies 16-4 after the break.  Idaho State ended the contest out-shooting New Mexico State 21-to-9 with four Bengals tying for a game-high three shots.  Junior forward Rachel Strawn put all three of her shots on goal while Ellsworth's lone on shot goal was her goal.  Senior forward Taylor Powell and junior midfielder Ashley Jones each had three shots as well.  Both teams ended the contest with six shots on goal.
