POCATELLO, Idaho- Idaho State returns home for three straight home games beginning, Saturday, January 21 vs. Northern Arizona. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. at ICCU Court in Holt Arena.

Brad Bugger will be calling the action.
Idaho State leads the overall series 48-40. The Bengals have won the last four meetings in Pocatello. Both contests last year went to overtime with ISU winning 90-88 in Pocatello and losing 82-80 in Flagstaff. Broadrick Gilchrest hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift the Bengals to the win at home last season.
Northern Arizona is 5-14 and 1-6 in conference play. James Douglas is leading NAU in scoring at 12.1 points a game overall and 11.4 in Big Sky play. Gabe Rogers is scoring 13.1 in league play. NAU is scoring 63 points a game and shooting 41 percent from the field. The lumberjacks are 4-3 at home and 1-8 on the road.
Idaho State is coming off a road trip where it won at Sacramento State and lost at Portland State.
Kenny McGowen converted on a four-point play with eight seconds left in regulation to lift ISU to the 68-67 win at Sacramento. In the game at Portland State, ISU lost 80-68.
Lets Play OT
The last three meetings between Idaho State and Northern Arizona have all been decided by two points and all three games have gone to overtime. Idaho State has won two of the three meetings, with both wins being in Pocatello. ISU won 90-88 last year and 73-71 on Feb. 13, 2010 while losing in Flagstaff last year, 82-80. Since 2000, ISU and NAU have gone to overtime six times, most out of any conference opponent during that time span. NAU is 4-2 against the Bengals in those overtime games.
The Do It All Player
Chase Grabau has been a leader for the Bengals on and off the court this year and since the start of conference play he has risen his play to another level. Grabau leads ISU in scoring at 12.4 points a game and he has upped that average to 18.2 in Big Sky play. He is shooting .534 from the field overall and that has increased to .610 percent in Big Sky play. and has 64 assists to 31 turnovers. He and
Melvin Morgan lead the team in steals with 31.
Conference Play Means Improved Play
Chase Grabau and
Kenny McGowen have raised their play since the start of Big Sky Conference play. McGowen is averaging 13.5 points a game in league and 11.6 overall while Grabau has upped his scoring to 18.2 a game in Big Sky play, his shooting percentage to .610, 3-point field goal percentage to .476, rebounds to 5.3 a game and he is playing more minutes at 36.7 a contest.
