Bengals Host Sacramento State, Portland State

ABOUT THE BENGALS
The Bengals earned a 1-1 draw against Weber State last week and will face Sacramento state Thursday and Big Sky leader Portland State Saturday for senior day.

The Bengals currently sit sixth in the Big Sky standings coming into the final two week of conference play. Only the top four teams will play in the conference tournament and the second through sixth teams are only separated by two points. Weber State, Northern Colorado and Sacramento State are tied for second with 10 points. Northern Arizona sits at fifth with nine points, the Bengals have eight.

The Bengals came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw with Weber State Saturday at Davis Field. Weber State scored first but Allyssa Kenney scored the equalizer in the 49th minute.

Sheridan Hapsic tallied nine saves including seven in the first half Saturday. She has four shutouts on the season which is one more than she had in the 2012 season. Her goal against average is 1.45.
Amanda Ellsworth leads the Bengals in goals (5), points (11) and game-winning goals (2).

LAST MATCH: WEBER STATE
Weber State scored first but Allyssa Kenney scored the equalizer in the 49th minute to help Idaho State battle the Wildcats to a 1-1 draw at Davis Field Saturday afternoon.

Shridan Hapsic tallied nine saves including seven in the first half of the game to keep an aggressive WSU frontline in check.

ABOUT SACRAMENTO STATE
The Hornets sit are tied for second but are just two points ahead of the Bengals in the Big Sky Standings.

Alyssa Anderson is tied for the lead in the Big Sky for goals, goals per game, game-winning goals and is second in the conference for points. The sophomore from Santa Rosa, Calif. has seven goals on the season in 14 games for the Hornets including three game-winners.

Hornet goalkeeper Kimberly Mata has a 1.06 goal against average and a .829 save percentage. She has six shutouts on the season which is tied for second in the Big Sky.

Randy Dedini is in his seventh season as head coach of the Sacramento State women's soccer team. Dedini enters the 2013 season with a career record of 49-45-19 (19-15-10 Big Sky).

ABOUT PORTLAND STATE
Portland State is the clear leader in the Big Sky at this point in the season. The Vikings are two wins away from clinching the regular season title.

Junior forward Eryn Brown leads the Big Sky in points (19), and is tied for first in the conference in goals (7) and assists (5).

Plese leads the Big Sky in goals-against average (0.83) and shutouts (7).  She ranks third in the conference in save percentage (.817).

Sixth year head coach Laura Schott leads the Vikings. At the helm she has never finished lower than second in the conference, leading the team to a 23-7-7 conference record.

SATURDAY WILL BE SENIOR DAY
Saturday's match against Portland State will be Senior Day.  The seven seniors; Carly Maloney, Lanie Ward, Allyson Stainbrook, Tara Bice, Kiley Godfrey, Lia Margolis and Laura Benson, will be honored before the match.

ELLWORTH ON THE RECORD TRACK
Amanda Ellsworth is on track to break records of goals, points and game winning goals. She currently sits second in goals and points and third in game winning goals. Stacey Peterson-Allen (2000-03) leads in all three categories.
